Jonah:
From the Book of Matthew:
Mt 12:38 Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you.”
39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here.
It is our prayer and our dedication of Jonah to the Lord that he also will be a sign to his generation of the One who is greater and who is now present. The Big “J” Jesus!
Paul: Named for my father who taught me so much about being a good dad. Also like Paul from the scriptures showed us that it is NEVER to late to repent of being our own god and putting our trust instead in the Lord. Paul from the scriptures murdered Christians but was considered a man of great character by the world. He said later that it was all rubish compared to the Joy of the Lord.
Garneau: Coming from the french word meaning “always right” “always french” and full of that special je nais se quas.
